The location is superb! Righ in the area of sultanahmet square, only 5 mins walk to hagia sophia and the square. There are also lots of small cafes to eat and mini market. The staff is amazing! This young fella, Boru is the best! We had a super late check in, almost midnight and he was still up and welcoming us very friendly! He had us upgraded to a family room which was awesome! Thanks, bro! we had our welcome tea while he gave us lots info what to do in istanbul and countless information we need to know about how the best way to enjoy istanbul. Also gave us the tips to avoid scam and make sure we had fanstatic time during stay. We couldnt thank enough for the hospitality! Will definetely rebook this place!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay! The location is excellent, within a 5-10 minute walk of the major old city sights, yet on enough of a backroad to be slightly less chaotic than some of the more main streets. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough, and importantly for our late August trip, had air conditioning that worked extremely well. The service, particularly from Bora (not sure if that’s spelled right), was superb. We got plenty of recommendations and assistance booking outings from him, and he was even able to help us quickly find an EMT when my grandmother had a slight medical situation. You might find similar hotels in the area but the customer service is likely amongst the best at this price.

Everything was great! Location is the best you can have. Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Basilica Cistern, Sultanahmet, Gulhane park, tram station are just 5 minutes walk. A lot of nice restaurants nearby, also Arasta bazaar. Hotel was great, has everything for your stay. Breakfast was really delicious. Parking available on street, costs 13euro. The staff at reception is outstanding, always willing to help and support for whatever you need! Thank you for everything! We will definitely come back!

It was super clean and the guy Bora was very kind and understanding. The location is exceptional. Every site is too near to the hotel and food street is just next to it. In the night when we were sitting outside the hotel to enjoy weather a young guy served us coffee. It was pure gesture of kindness.

The location is awesome!! Just few minutes downhill walk to waterfront (access to Bosphorus River Tour) on one side and 5 minutes uphill walk to all famous attractions (Topkapi Museum, Haga Sofia and Blue Mosque & Basilica) on the other side. The staff is extremely courteous, friendly and helping (Always greet with a small and carry your stuff to the room) They were also helpful in guiding us on how to go around the city what to expect for taxi fares and recommend good restaurants based on our preferences (I requested to Non-alcoholic serving restaurants, and they guided me with places and restaurants that do not server alcohol) Next to the hotel is a Talha souvenir place that sells all kinds of tea, spices, nuts and other souvenirs at a very reasonable prices (after comparing the prices in the market, we got it all from here). Just at the end of the block there is a Rooftop restaurant with special breakfast and wonderful view of Bosphorus river on one side and 2 mosques and Topkapi museum view on other side. (Very picturesque view) Overall, we are very satisfied with our 5-night stay in Genius hotel and highly recommend this hotel. This hotel is located in the middle of historical centre of Istanbul. There are many things to see nearby and multiple restaurants. Hotel hosts are really nice and helpful - they brought my heavy luggage upstairs, helped with food delivery and also brought it to my room. We had a late check-in after a long road trip and everything went well. There is a possibility to stay with a dog (that’s what we did) with an extra charge. My dog was a bit nervous but hosts were nice about it and I could definitely say it is a dog friendly place. Rooms are large and clean, internet is alright (suitable for conference calls, around 25+ mbps during the day and a bit faster during the nights), there is a table to work with a laptop. Beds are comfortable. I liked that the room is light because of multiple windows. What is also important: despite the touristic location there are no disturbing noises and it is quiet in the streets. There is also a parking lot near the hotel: we parked under the big ancient wall in 50 meters - it is free at nights if you manage to leave before 8 am (because there are no parking workers I guess) but during the day it’s payed. I would highly recommend this place if you want to have a nice stay in the centre of Istanbul with a perfect price/quality ratio.

The property had the most ideal location in a quiet street, close to all the main attractions in Sultanahmet and just 2 mins walk from a street with plentiful food options (actual restaurants and bars). The wifi was great, rapid speeds and worked fully in our room which was on the top floor. Room equipped with a kettle and fridge which was super usefully The staff were all super helpful and welcoming. Emi the manager helped us to arrange our coach transport out of Istanbul, paying for us, on his own card when we were not able to use foreign cards on the travel website. Ali was always welcoming when returning at the end of a day exploring and Aram (who worked overnight) was so sweet and helpful, calling his brother for us when we needed advice on reputable websites.

Always some of guys was there, always very helpfull and friendly. I was arrive at 3am, and there was no problem to check in, all very fast. Room was very comfortable. In room things looking good quality and fancy, not just clean and usefull. If i need to stay in istanbul again, this will be the first place to check for free room. Close to many good places, just by walking around there is so much to see. Public transport close to it. Was good wifi, this is problem for many places, so i really appreciate working wifi.

This is a tiny hotel in excellent location. The reception was always very helpful and my late coming around midnight due to flight delay was not a problem. Breakfast was a good start to a busy day.
